According to CIO.com, a Singapore based digital media company, Creative Technology, has filed a lawsuit to block the popular Apple iPod from entering U.S market. The lawsuit asks the court to stop Apple from selling iPods and seeks unspecified financial damages.
Creative Technology has their own version of iPod, err… it might be a wrong statement. Apple has their own version of Zen, are said has violated U.S. trade law by importing the players into the United States.
Creative said, their invention, the user interface software used by most portable digital media players, is protected by a 2005 patent titled “Automatic Hierarchical Categorization of Music by Metadata,” (U.S. Patent No. 6,928,433)
