Beside Adtracker which, I mentioned in my old post, I found another free adsense tracker, Adlogger.

This time, the adsense tracker become more complicated, but amazingly, it is free!

AdLogger is an open-source AdSense tracking program for website owners and publishers.

How much does it cost?

AdLogger is open-source. It exists only because of the ideas and improvements of other users and developers. AdLogger is free and provided under the GNU General Public License for open-source software.

I have used this software for more than one week. So far so good. It have more features from Adtracker. It’s tracker capability is good. The installation is very easy, only create one database for it, and follow the onsite installation instruction.

What information could you get from the Adlogger?

It trace which adsense unit was clicked, on what page the click came from, what time and what type of adsense format. It also have it’s own channel tracking and page performance data for you to make your own analysis of your ad unit placement and page.

One data which I like most is, it can trace the referer of the visitor. Mean, you could know which site your visitors came from before they click the ad unit. And from my observation, almost 90% of my visitors, who clicked the ads, are from the search engine, which mean, I cannot live without the search engine.. he he..

Wait! there is another feature you might be interested in. Adlogger also have the ability to disable adsense ad on your site automatically if somebody clicks more than ‘n’ times. You could set how many times a visitor is allowed to click on ads within a certain time period. If a visitor clicks more than ‘n’ times, he will see no more ad! It’s great for protecting yourself from click fraud.

I think this software is very useful for me and give me more data for tracking purpose, and I believe, because it is an open source software, Adlogger could be better than any not-free adsense tracker software out there. Just my two cents
