Electricity Tariff Hiked by 12%
Finally, after several months asking for increase their tariff from the government, today Tenaga Nasional Berhad TNB got what they want. The Energy, Water and Communications Minister Datuk Seri Dr Lim Kim Yaik announces that the electricity will rise by on average of 12% from 1st of June.
However, he added, the increase will not affect about 60% of households, those whose monthly electricity bill, is below RM43.60.
However, I am on the 40% side.
But, I do not understand;
1. Why the government said 60% will not affected? When the industries got their electricity bill up by 12% at least, off course they will not pay by themselves (may be for one or two months and after that) they will ‘forward’ the bill to the consumers. And those in 60% side sure will affected. The goods and services price might up from 10% to 20%! How sad..
2. Everytime price hiked, all the newspapers(mass media) will write the increase is acceptable… ha ha ha what a joke. (off course, they could increase their newspaper price if one day they cannot maintain their profit)
3. The politicians will keep saying that the increase will not burden the people…and the price is still the cheapest in the region..Â
Arghh.. I can’t take it anymore!! but…. I can’t do nothing
