I Bought An Intel Pentium 4

Yesterday, I bought an Intel Pentium 4 2.8GHz processor! yay!!

Finally, I have my own Pentium 4, he he he.. No big deal right? For me it is a big deal. I had used a Pentium 3 866MHz system for more than 2 years! And only now I can afford a Pentium 4 (the processor only.. he he he).

In my post here, I tried to repair my computer but I failed. The motherboard which I bought from a guy in buysell.com.my was defective (He sold a faulty motherboard for RM100!! beware guys!). Not just that! After further test, I also found my 128MB RAM was also faulty.

Yesterday, after having enough money, I went to a computer shop, and bought a Pentium 4 2.8MHz socket 775, Jetway Pentium 4 Motherboard with built-in sound, vga and LAN, 512MB Kingston DDR RAM, a power supply for P4, new logitech keyboard, new optical mouse, USB hub extension and one socket 370 motherboard for Pentium III.

With those newly bought hardwares, I built two computer systems from my old computers. One Intel Pentium 4 2.8MHz system with 512MB DDR RAM, 64MB AGP card (from my old Pentium III 933MHz).

Another one is an Intel Pentium 3 933MHz system with 256MB SDRAM, 16MB shared memory for display and built-in sound.

And I got 3 systems up again. Hurray!

The new Pentium 4 system is more than enough for me. I only use this computer to surf the web, play mp3s, download torrents and do simple programming things. With this system, I also could watch the (not so important) downloaded video files right away when finished, because the AGP card have a tv output.

Lost about RM1000 but satisfied!
