It already the end of the month, the SRM (Satria Replacement Model) is not launched yet. A newspaper reported that it will be launched before the end of May, some source told that the SRM would be launched at the KL International Motorshow (KLIM) 2006 (KLIM 06 - May 26 to June 4) .

Ok, the SRM launch had been postponed for multiples of times with unknown cause. This month, according to rumors, the SRM had to be postponed because Naza just launched its 206 Bestari, and SRM’s features could not compete with Bestari. Whether it is true or not, I don’t know. I just type what I heard and read.

This is the latest from the newspaper about Proton and SRM. According to Utusan Malaysia, Proton managing director Syed Zainal Abidin Syed Mohamed said the upcoming and highly-anticipated SRM (Satria Replacement Model) will be launched on Jun and was expected to boost Proton’s sales. He expected this to be supplemented by the launch of two more new models this financial year, which included a seven-seater multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and a passenger car that would be developed with its alliance partner, Mitsubishi Motors Corp of Japan.
