Invited To Create Web Album Using Picasa

Tuesday, June 27th, 2006

Today, I got an email invited me to create web album using Picasa. It is almost a week since I applied for a Picasaweb account.

Although I already have a latest Picasa software (Picasa2), I have to download another Picasa upgrade, which is Picasaweb (it is a beta Windows XP version), to enable upload and download photographs to and from the web.

My public gallery at PicasaWeb is http://picasaweb.google.com/sekoyen

From the email, it said, by accepting the invitation I will get:

  • A free download of the Picasa software for uploading your photos to the web in one or two clicks.
  • Your own shareable Picasa Web Albums homepage showing all your public albums.
  • Enough free storage to post and share approximately 1000 photos (an option for upgrading to more space is also available).
  • Big, high-resolution pictures that set a new standard for online viewing. You can even download a friend’s photos off the web to print at home using Picasa.
  • Fun easy-to-use online tools, like captions, comments, rotate, zoom, and full-screen slideshows.

Wow! Thanks Google!

Just Created A GMail Account

Monday, June 19th, 2006

Today, I got an invitation to open a GMail account from a kind digitalpoint.com forummer. Thanks JoT!

I quickly created the account and my new email is sekoyen at gmail.com!! yeah!! The first thing I look at this webmail (other then the inbox) was the Google Calendar. Actually, you do not need gmail account to use the Google Calendar, but it is seems more conveniet when it is intergrated in the webmail. On the calendar I added Malaysia public holiday calendar and school calendar.. ha ha

I also applied for Picasaweb account (it need a Gmail account).  However, it said that Picasa Web Albums is a limited test. If I fill in my Gmail username on the box, they’ll send me an invitation, on first-come, first-served basis. So, I just inserted my username, and wait. I hope they will send me an invitation for Picasaweb.

Change My Car’s Springs

Saturday, June 17th, 2006

Yesterday, I went to a spare part shop to buy my car’s spring to replace the old ones. The old ones, which are the OEM, were already too soft until everybody said that I had lowered my car using the sport spring..he he he. Hence, the springs is already 6 years old! Yup, it looks more sporty, but when it load with 2 or more people, the tyres will touch the fenders, and the drive is so bumpy.

Proton Satria Neo - The first impression

Friday, June 16th, 2006

I will not write a full review here because I think my knowledge in car is so little, and off course, my English is bad.

Just now I visited a Proton Edar branch at Kota Tinggi. They have a 1.6 and a 1.3 version. Could not take many shot with my camera because it a little crowded. And when I took photos, it was already 7 pm and quite dark. (more…)

If I knew Picasa is this good…

Thursday, June 15th, 2006

If I knew the Google Picasa software is this good, I would download it earlier!

Today, I felt bored. So, I sat infront of my computer and started to read some headlines news from Google News. A news that cought my eyes is “Google Launches Picasa Web Album” from BetaNews.com. Picasa users now allowed to upload their photos to a website (using the software) and share it to others, just like Flickr and Photobucket.
