Ms Outlook to SquirelMail
Today, I installed Ms Outlook 2003 and accidentally downloaded all of my emails from my online SquirrelMail inbox. Actually, I prefer to use online mailbox because I could open my email everywhere, such as at cyber cafes or my friends’ computers when I am away from my house.
When I setup Ms Outlook 2003, I used POP3 protocol to fetch emails from my SquirrelMail mailbox. My online inbox was empty. All emails have been downloaded to my computer. Because I prefer to use online mailbox, I have to transfer all emails from Ms Outlook 2003 to SquirrelMail inbox back.
Well, this was how I did it.
On the Ms Outlook menu, click Tools and click Email Accounts to create a new email account using IMAP protocol. We use IMAP protocol to connect to an IMAP email server to download email and synchronize mailbox folder between our computer and our online mailbox. After successful created the account, we will see another folder in the mail folder.
Then select all emails from POP3 inbox account (Ctrl+A), copy and finally paste them to IMAP account’s inbox. This will automatically upload all emails to your SquirrelMail inbox. Wait for a couple of minutes for the upload process finish.
