Prepaid Mobile Phone Registration Status
Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission have asked all prepaid mobile phone services subscribers to register their prepaid number before 15th December 2006.
Failure to do so, will make you unable to use the number anymore and prepaid balance will be lost.
The main reason for this directive is aimed at curbing misuses of the prepaid public cellular services and at the same time to address security concerns.
Other countries that have made registration compulsory include Australia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Switzerland.
