How to Make Cat5-RJ45 Networking Cable
Nowadays, cat5 network cable is more popular than coxial cable. One of the reason is might be because of it’s ease of installation and more practical, such as if one node is faulty, the other node still can be used.
Although it is an easy job, I think this might useful for the newbies. The images could help a better understanding of what I am talking about.
First, we need the CAT5 cable, RJ-45 plug and a crimper.

Next, mesure the cable and cut it. Usually, I use the crimper.

Then we have to strip about 1/2 inch at cable ends. This can be done using the crimper too.

Spread and arrange the wires. Please refer to this post here.

You might find that the length of the wires is not the same. Cut it’s end so its will all the same.

Make sure the wires arrangement is correct, then put the cable into the plug and push it until all wires’ ends touching the rj-45 plug’s end.

Check again the wires’ arrangement and make sure the wires’ ends touching the end of the plug’s hole. After that, put the rj45 plug into the crimping tool. Squeeze the crimping tool firmly for a few seconds.

The result.

Now do the same to the other end. Finally, test it to make sure you did the right things.
